The Plan of Salvation...
We are all lost sinners and because of that, we are all on our way to hell. That is what the world's #1 best-seller, the Bible, says. It clearly states that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Also, "The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)
However, the Bible did not become the world's #1 best-seller because it shares such discouraging and ugly truths. It is so because of the beautiful truth you find page after page...God loves you!
If you take time to read through the New Testament a clear thread can be seen throughout its pages. It goes like this. "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) His love for you was so great that He willingly gave His only Son to die in your place, even when, in your sinful broken state, you didn't deserve it. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
Because of His great love for you, He pursues you with great passion and faithfulness. He calls your name. He calls, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30) He wants nothing more than to take your burden of sin and unrighteousness and give you peace and deliverance.
You can't accomplish this in yourself. All the discipline, good works, and money cannot lift this deadly burden from your soul, only Christ can. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you and He will. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9) How beautiful is that?
I know right now you are thinking, "That sounds good for the other person, but not for me. My life is a mess. I'm broken. I can't be fixed." Then let me remind you of John 6:37, "...and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." That is His promise. He calls. You come. He forgives. That is why the Bible is still the world's #1 best-seller. Never has such a beautiful love story ever been written, and it was written with you in mind.
If you have any questions concerning salvation, we would love to talk to you and pray with you. If you have read this and felt God speak your name and you responded with prayer, please contact us and let us know. We would love to celebrate with you!
