Without outreach, any church will die. Needy people are everywhere and we want to help as many as we can. We are committed to faithfully serving our community with our bus ministry each week. Every Sunday evening our bus runs through the community, picking up people from ages 4 to 40+.
Twenty-five years ago, James Plank, a former pastor's son, had a vision to start a bus route through New Columbia, Milton, Watsontown, and Lewisburg. Under various people's vision and passion for ministry, the bus ministry has remained active throughout the years. In 2022, we made the decision to change our bus route from Sunday morning to Sunday evening. We quickly realized that that decision was a success. Immediately after we transitioned to an evening bus ministry, our numbers rapidly grew. Today, under the direction of Jeff and Brittany McDowell, we are averaging 20 to 30 children in attendance weekly, with over 60 children being called on every Saturday. Our bus ministry has become a church wide ministry. Each week, several of our youth are involved in Saturday calling and the Sunday bus route to help the adults who are running the ministry. Also, the people of our church graciously provide meals for all the children each week.
As we look to the future, it is our goal to continue to develop and expand our bus ministry to more effectively reach more people in our community. If you would like to be involved, we would appreciate your support both in prayer and financially. When we consider fuel and bus maintenance, the costs of operating a bus ministry seem high, but we know that each person we reach is well worth the cost and the effort.

Vacation Bible School - Every summer, we take an entire week to concentrate on the children of our community. It is through these VBSs that we find new children who begin to attend Sunday School on a regular basis.
